Frequently Asked Questions:

Q:
Can I go to Alcatraz only, without a tour?
A:
Yes, and not with The Urban Safari. The National Park Service dictates that our tickets to The Rock be combined with another tour (either The City Adventure, the Wine Country Safari or the Land Sea Air Prison Expedition)
Q:
How far in advance do you recommend securing my reservation?
A:
We're happy to accommodate you up to a year in advance. For planning purposes, we recommend no less than 7 days. Within that time frame, please call our jungle crew directly.
Q:
Is this one of those "death-by-microphone" tours? Will I be bored to tears!!
A:
We certainly hope not! Singing, jokes, interaction, participation are the key elements of every safari. No vouchers, no numbers. You're family and friends when you come aboard. Out Tribal Concierges will even help with hotel reservations, restaurant recommendations, battery replacements, whatever you need. This is your adventure, let us help you enjoy it!
Q:
Can I get on and off at will?
A:
We want to show you these lovely areas thru the minds and hearts of professionally trained and certified guides.
Hop On, Stay On is our belief. Plenty of time for walk-abouts, photo ops, restroom breaks, and great food.
Q:
If I book more than one tour, is there a discount?
A:
Absolutely. We're delighted to offer a 10% discount of the lesser priced tour.
Q:
How does weather affect the tours?
A:
It doesn't, really. We go out rain or shine (or fog!). We have drop-down, see-through curtains for inclement weather. Blankets and jackets are provided. Our open-sided game-viewing vehicles allow the most intimate contact with the City, as well as ensure great photos. Dress in layers. Beware: The Summer months in SF are the coldest.
